Effective Lightweight

Unlike other solar modules, the cells of the Solar Body Panel are embedded in polymer rather than glass. This technology saves more than 50% in weight compared to conventional glass solar modules. Our Solar Body Panels are comparable in weight to conventional body panels.

Polymer – Lightweight Bodyguard

Light and resistant. The polymer coating of our solar cells does not splinter. As a result, our solar panels are characterised by high resistance and the polymer coating protects the solar cells from all external influences. In comparison, the solar body panel is not only significantly lighter than conventional solar components, but also lighter than comparable approaches to solar integration in vehicles.

Solar Range Prediction

An intelligent energy forecast model even allows for predictions about the solar range based on meteorological data and the location of a car. This means, that you can plan your next trip according to the sun. The Sion can add up to 245 km (112 km on average) of driving range per week through solar energy to the car’s battery.
